Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 beginning November 6 and ending April 9 (skipping Dec 25, Jan 1, Feb 19). With Rabbi Jacob Fine and Rabbi Ariella Rosen in the CBI Library. In this 18-week course we will explore together many aspects of Jewish life: daily spiritual practices, the holiday cycle, Shabbat, eating practices, migration, history, and more. This class is geared toward anyone who wants to learn more about Jewish life: individuals exploring conversion, non-Jews part of Jewish families, and Jews of all stripes who want to learn more. The Tikkun Olam Democracy Action Team invites you to JOIN THE SIGN-MAKING PARTY for the "Hands Off" March (on April 5) to save our democracy: Thursday, April 3, 6-7:30 pm, CBI Social Hall (to be confirmed via event request form). Whether or not you're marching on April 5 - and wherever you're marching - please join us for an evening of solidarity and food (potluck!) to share in community as part of our Tikkun Olam commitment to protect democracy and decency. Kids (and their artistic contributions!) are welcome. Please email Sandy Wright at sandywright11@gmail.com to let us know you're coming (or just come!). While our Tikkun Olam bus to Boston is full, email Sandy if you want to meet up there or get on a wait list for another bus. -

Shiru Shabbat is a joyous, musical Kabbalat Shabbat service held at CBI and led by Molly Bajgot with Aram Rubenstein Gillis, Matt Goldfield, and other guests. Feel free to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy after services! Shiru Shabbat is inspired by the circular davvening (prayer) style of Nava Tehila, a renewal style prayer service in Jerusalem, and by Rabbi Micah Shapiro's Shabbat Nariya services in Boston, Massachusetts. The service includes contemporary melodies and the use of instruments to create a song-full, heart expanding Shabbat experience. Come to sing out, be washed in sound, and to connect with community at the end of the week. Shiru Shabbat invites you to join our new Ruach* Circle, a circle of community musicians and vocalists to elevate our song at Shiru Shabbat (*ruach means spirit). -
