High Holidays at CBI, September 2018 (5779)

Join Us for Our High Holy Day Season!

Dear CBI Community and friends,

Congregation B’nai Israel invites you to join with us for the upcoming Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah (September 9-10), Yom Kippur (September 19-20) and the fall holidays.  Our doors are wide open, welcoming everyone this High Holy Day season and throughout the year.

To help us manage space requirements so that everyone will feel comfortable, we ask that everyone obtain tickets in advance to attend services.  For CBI members and their immediate family, the cost of these tickets is covered by your annual membership dues to CBI.  Everyone who is in good standing will receive these tickets in the mail. If additional tickets are needed for family members, please contact the synagogue office and they will be made available to you promptly.

For guests, the tickets will be made available for a donation to CBI. Please call or email the synagogue office by no later than August 31 to receive tickets in the mail. We suggest a donation of $100 per ticket, but donations of any size are welcome.

In addition to worshipping with us, please be part of our community – join us for our Tashlich ritual at the Mill River, and a community break-fast on Yom Kippur.

After the High Holiday season, we would love to have both members and non-members stay engaged with us.  If you are not already, we invite you to be on our email listserv to learn about the many events and opportunities to explore CBI and welcome you to join us in any way that interests you.  We offer adult education, family and teen programming, senior lunches with programs, volunteer opportunities with the synagogue and Abundance Farm, avenues for tikkun olam and community engagement, and much more.
