Shabbat Services & Minyanim

At CBI, we proudly champion:
* A common future rooted in Jewish education, culture, text, values, and history;
* Diversity of practice, tradition, and spiritual path;
* Reverence for Torah, for each other, for our community, for all people, and for our planet.

We offer several prayer services both traditional and alternative services.

Kabbalat Shabbat Services are weekly in the Sanctuary on Friday evenings from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.

Each Shabbat morning in the Sanctuary we have our main minyan, led by Rabbi Justin David.  Services are from 9:30 am to approximately noon.  After services, we enjoy a community Kiddush and luncheon together.  You are always welcome to join us for Kiddush and lunch, whether you are a member or not, and whether you came to services or not!  Please join us – we look forward to seeing you there!

Shabbat Family Jam, is a monthly, exuberant and participatory Shabbat service featuring singing, storytelling, and communal prayer.  For school-aged children, their parents, and the community.

Shabbat Shabloom is a monthly, lively Saturday morning program for 3 to 5 year olds and their families.  Together we celebrate the beautiful aspects of Shabbat through songs, stories, dance and creative movement.

Contemplative Morning Meditation takes place on Thursday morning, 8:00 am in the library. In this meditation, we create a quiet and focused group setting in which each individual may engage in devotion/prayer.

We have a weekly Mincha, Wednesday at 5:30pm. It’s a Mitzvah to form a Minyan. Those reciting Kaddish will be most appreciative if you do.

On Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm we have Avodat Lev Ma’ariv, an evening heart centered meditation with music and prayer held on Abundance Farm.  A minyan  is always present.

If you need to form another minyan for Kaddish please contact the CBI office at 413 584-3593 Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm and Friday 8:00am – 3:00pm.
