Full title: “Women Rabbis: Sacred Calling and Transforming Judaism”

February 19, 2020

Please RSVP by emailing or calling the office at: / 413-584-3593.

Join a lively group of intergenerational people from around the Valley as we have our monthly luncheon. This month’s guest speaker is near and dear: Rabbi Riqi Kosovske of Beit Ahavah~ The Reform Synagogue of Greater Northampton.

After a light lunch and schmooze, she will be delivering a talk on the Sacred Calling, and women rabbis.

Rabbi Riqi Kosovske will present about the first unheard of women rabbis: Rae Frank on the wild west frontier and Berlin’s Regina Jonas who died in Theresenstadt, to Sally Preisand and the now very active transformation of Judaism through the ordination of women rabbis.

Rabbi Riqi asks us to think about the challenges (unequal pay, respect) and obstacles that women rabbis face, as well as their triumphs and innovations (feminist liturgy, women’s stories, rituals, beautiful tallitot, rabbinic family leave)–and what’s next.

Please RSVP by Friday, February 14th.

Wheelchair and mobility aid accessible building and entrance, accessible parking available. All are welcome!
