2025 Shared Abundance Gardens Registration

Welcome, we are so glad you're here!

Shared Abundance Gardens is a collective of Connecticut River Valley gardeners, both experienced and first-timers, united in our commitment to creating a resilient community.

The Farm commits to providing resources like plants, soil, and gardening guides accessible at any income level. The gardeners commit to strengthening communal bonds by sharing part of their harvest with others and contributing whatever else they can– expertise, enthusiasm, or gardening materials.

Perennial food seedlings, like raspberries, strawberries, and mint, may be offered depending on availability.

Plants will be available for pick-up at Abundance Farm on select distribution days. Compost, soil, and wood chips are always available at our Resource Bank.

If no one from your group or household will be able to make it to a distribution day, please contact us at sharedabundance@abundancefarm.org as soon as possible so we can make alternate arrangements. We can help you find a friend to collect plants for you, or set up an alternate pickup time. Plants left at the farm for more than one week will be considered unclaimed and will be redistributed. (Please note that the best time for us to get you your plants is during the distribution time/day itself.)

Commitments From Gardens

The goal of Shared Abundance Gardens is to share our gardens' abundance with the community. Please select one or more of these options for how to share your harvest, time, or resources.

All offerings are welcome! We know that every effort we make to nourish our neighbors builds resilient community.

To facilitate collaboration among gardeners, we will use the information above to develop resource-sharing directories. These directories will list the contact information of gardeners who have indicated a willingness to share materials, advice, or labor. They will be distributed to registered gardeners via email and in printed format at Distribution Day on May 18th. (For example, if you have opted to share seeds, your contact information will be included in a seed-sharing directory, enabling other registered gardeners seeking seeds to connect with you directly.) Please note that your contact details will remain confidential and will not be shared with the public.
(Checking "No" may make it difficult to share time and resources with other gardeners.)
Sliding Scale Registration

We estimate that the seedlings, compost, woodchips and seeds that our gardeners will use have an average retail value of $100 per garden. Take what you will use. Our financial model is that we ask gardeners to pitch in, at their own giving ability, to cover material costs, while Abundance Farm wholly covers the staff costs of this initiative.

Shared Abundance Gardens is committed to welcoming gardeners at all paying abilities, including at zero dollars, to join our program.

Please consider supporting this initiative by making a financial contribution of $0-$360 towards the material costs. Paying above the estimated retail value of $100 helps cover the cost of the sliding scale model.*
(Enter a number or a zero)
*Please consult your tax advisor to determine what amount is tax deductible.

Thank you! We can't wait to garden with you.

**Please hit the "submit" button below.**

When you get to the next page, you will be prompted for payment information for any financial contributions.  If you are logged into an account, ACH bank transfers will be offered as a payment option. Please be aware that this is more complicated than using a debit/credit card and will likely require a conversation with our office staff.
